The brief

A comms room upgrade required new multimode backbone cables terminated and presented ready for switch uplinks, with documented performance before the network team would migrate services.

What we delivered

  • Backbone cables glanded and strain-relieved into a 1U fibre panel
  • Cores fusion-spliced to OM4 pigtails through Excel splice cassettes (24-port LC presentation as built)
  • Buffer tubes and pigtails routed on the panel’s management points with consistent coil discipline
  • Presentation on LC duplex adapters in port order matching the fibre schedule

The detail that matters

A fibre panel should read like a document: cores in order, coils consistent, every splice traceable to a cassette position. That is what makes the next engineer’s fault-finding take minutes.

Handover

Per-core insertion loss measurements, splice map, and a labelled panel the client’s network team migrated onto without a single re-termination.
