How Moves, Adds and Changes should survey, change, update legends and retest touched links so the plant stays honest.
MAC is where good installs decay. Desks move; APs move; panels do not update themselves.
Survey first
Do not add points onto a legend you have not verified. A thirty-minute panel audit saves days of ghost outlets.
Change control
Treat each wave as a mini project: schedule, IDs, materials, access window, who updates the drawing.
Update legends
If the panel sticker and the spreadsheet disagree, the spreadsheet is not “source of truth” — the field is. Update both before you leave.
Retest touched links
When the package includes certification, retest what you terminated or disturbed. Leaving modified links untested is how cutovers surprise IT.
